With the continuous updating and development of technology, in order to better meet people's exercise needs, many different types of fitness equipment have emerged in today's market. Among them, the electric treadmill is one of the most popular exercise equipment in homes and gyms, because it is not only relatively easy to use but also provides simple and efficient aerobic exercise. For many people, it is a good choice to start a new exercise routine because walking is well tolerated by most people, regardless of their fitness level.

the Electric Treadmill is One of the Most Popular Exercise Equipment in Homes and Gyms

We all know that exercising on a treadmill can bring many health benefits. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced runner, you should feel strong and confident after exercising on it. However, that's not how things always turn out! Sometimes, you may suddenly feel dizzy or blurred vision after using it. In fact, it is very common to feel dizzy after using the running exercise machine, and there are many reasons that may cause you to feel dizzy after exercising on it. In the following article, I will list a few common reasons why you feel dizzy after using the running exercise machine and teach you how to avoid it.

1. Stop abruptly
Stopping abruptly may be the most important reason why you feel dizzy after using the running exercise machine. When you abruptly stop walking or running on the running machine, without giving your body a chance to cool down, your blood pressure and heart rate will drop too fast, and you will usually feel dizzy.

How to solve it? To prevent you from feeling dizzy after abruptly stopping exercising on the running exercise machine, it is essential to cool down your body at the end of the exercise. You can do this by slowing down your running exercise machine to 3.5 mph and jogging for about 5 minutes. After that, walk at a slow speed of about 3 mph for 3 -5 minutes until your breathing and heart rate slow down. This slower speed will make it easier for your brain to adapt, so that you won't feel dizzy after using the running exercise machine.

2. Motion sickness
Another reason why you feel dizzy after using the running exercise machine is motion sickness. Although you don't need to go anywhere to run or walk on the running exercise machine, your body will sense that you are moving. As a result, your brain receives the signal that you are moving forward, but in fact you are not. This may cause you motion sickness, the same way you would experience in planes, cars, and trains.

How to solve it? As your body adapts to the running exercise machine, motion sickness will ease with time. If not, please avoid looking down or holding handrails during exercise. Instead, you can distract yourself by watching TV or checking the console display to monitor the number of calories burned and the distance traveled.

3. Dehydration
Dehydration can cause you to feel dizzy or nauseous after using the running exercise machine. When you exercise on it since exercise will raise your body temperature, causing you to sweat. As a result, your body will eventually lose a lot of water, especially on a hot day. If you don't replenish water before, during or after running on the running exercise machine, you may feel dizzy due to lack of water.

How to solve it? To avoid dizziness due to dehydration, please increase the amount of water before, during and after exercising on the treadmill. In addition, what you eat before exercise will also affect your body feeling after exercise. You'd better take in some nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fat and lean protein, before you exercise on the running exercise machine. This can avoid your dizziness due to lack of nutrition.

4. Overexertion
Maybe you are walking at an extremely fast speed or a steep slope on the running exercise machine, or your running distance is longer than ever before. Then these conditions may make you overexertion and cause you to feel dizzy.

How to solve it? If you feel dizzy from overexertion on the electric treadmill, please hold handrails. Take a minute to calm down, slow your heart rate, and then catch your breath. Next, drink enough water to replenish the depleted muscles. To prevent this from happening in the future, please don't try to exercise too much or too fast on the running exercise machine at once. Instead, push your body slowly over time. For example, you can gradually increase your exercise intensity every week until you reach the desired level.

5. Lack of oxygen
When you run or walk on the running exercise machine, your muscles will consume a lot of oxygen. Your heart rate and breathing rate will increase, so that more oxygenated blood will flow into your muscles. But if you don't breathe properly during exercise, your body won't have enough oxygen to meet the needs of participating muscles. Similarly, your heart can't pump enough oxygenated blood into your brain, which will make you dizzy due to lack of oxygen.

How to solve it? If you feel dizzy or short of breath after using the running exercise machine, it may indicate that your brain needs more oxygen. Stop, sit on the floor, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Continue doing this for the next 3-5 minutes before you slowly stand.

As you can see, I have listed five main reasons why you will feel dizzy after using a treadmill in this article. Whichever the case, I hope that the solutions I listed above can help you prevent the problem of dizziness in your next exercise. But if symptoms don't improve, be sure to consult a doctor before you resume any exercise program!
